School Ministry – James Gichuru Primary School Dandora

A Pupil deep in thoughts

Spending time enriching your community is a great way to broaden your perceptions of the world and perceptions of the community at large. By immersing ourselves in a community and surrounding ourselves with people who are dedicated to bettering the world, we can learn so much about how the world works. We gain a unique sense of purpose by serving those around us, which often manifests in other areas of our lives. One of the most impactful community service in our modern days, is giving back to the community by uplifting its spiritual life.
In line with our mission of Helping Families Pray, school communities are one of our immediate families that we minister to as Holy Cross Family Ministries Kenya.

In some places, schools need to be built or expanded. In other places, schools need better textbooks, teaching aids, and courses of study. However, in other places, school need to be reminded that despite of the shortcomings in their community setup, there is still hope for a better tomorrow. Hailing from a low-rated community should not discourage the young ones from dreaming big but rather such hard lifestyles should be a motivating factor of yearning for a bright tomorrow and working hard in school.
As Latter-day Saints we have a responsibility to our community and to our country. We have a duty to constantly remind communities of God’s love and all the blessings He Has in store for us if we have faith in His Divine Providence.

A Pupil deep in Prayers
Holy Cross Family Ministries Kenya had a chance to positively impact James Gichuru Primary School Community on 24th August, 2022. Fr. Joseph Owori CSC led Mass celebration at the school. The main message was believing in oneself and going beyond community narration of the nature of school neighborhood and rising above all odds to shaping a brighter future ahead. The school Mass was livestreamed at our Facebook Page hcfmkenya.
