Holy Cross Family Ministries Kenya in Kisumu Archdiocese at Our Lady of Assumption Barkorwa Parish for The Try Prayer It Works Contest, 2023.

The Try Prayer It Works Contest, 2023 brought youths of all caliber together, ranging from primary schools, secondary, and universities including young youths in different professions.

It was a learning experience and a brain-boosting for many of our youth to exchange learning experiences with the staff members of HCFM before, during, and after the TPC 2023. They accepted the challenge that for sure learning is a continuous experience and process. Many schools were in attendance including; St.Pauls mixed secondary school, St. Barnabas girl’s school, Nyamgun mixed secondary, Archbishop Okoth Miranga mixed secondary, Ndiru mixed secondary school, Mariwa Tvet vocational training and KMTC Kombewa Seme Kisumu region including St. Elizabeth primary school. The youths faced the reality of their minds being taught, their hearts being touched and life generally being transformed, they ended up nicknaming the HCFM members “A staying together family”

Our church mothers and fathers (PARENTS) in both CMA & CWA, accepted the reality of the training and encouraged such important visitations. This platform invited families to pray and stay together.

The encounter with HCFMKenya Team did open grounds for vocations in the mother church, for training young boys and girls to know the value of family, prayers, and the essence of staying together.

Talent is a seed planted in a family, taking care of by prayers, and growing within a society.

Youths should be given a chance to exploit their talents positively
